Eminem Plans To Relapse This Year

EminemLong-time fans of Eminem have been anticipating his return for quite some time, and their prayers have been finally answered. After a four-year respite, Eminem is returning to music with the release of his new album Relapse on May 19th via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope.

Making up for lost time, Eminem plans to double up his output by dropping Relapse 2 later this year, saying: “A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year. I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll, we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”

Last month, the album’s first single “Crack A Bottle” featuring Eminem, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent was released and immediately soared to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, setting a record for opening week download sales. The accompanying video for the song is scheduled to debut April 7th.

During an interview late last year on his Shade 45 satellite radio show, Eminem announced his plans for a new album, followed by the freestyle “I’m Having A Relapse, which initiated the anticipation for Eminem’s forthcoming album.

The Black Eyed Peas Close to “The E.N.D.”

The Black Eyed Peas 3After a four-year hiatus, Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling group, The Black Eyed Peas, are back with another studio album entitled “The E.N.D,” scheduled for a June 9th release date.

The first single off the album is “Boom Boom Pow,” which Interscope Records is currently servicing to radio and clubs. “We wanted to make a record that would make people dance,” reveals will.i.am.

“The E.N.D.” comes four-years after the 2005 release of the multi-platinum selling album “Monkey Business,” which included the hits “Don’t Phunk with My Heart” and “My Humps.”

In conjunction with the release of “The E.N.D.,” The Black Eyed Peas plan to kick off a world tour. Dates will be announced in the weeks and months ahead.

Although it has been four years since The Black Eyed Peas recorded their last studio album together, the period did keep some of the group members busy.

Fergie released her hugely successful solo album “The Dutchess,” selling six million records worldwide, while TBEP principal member will.i.am released his solo debut “Songs About Girls” in 2007.

Also in 2008, will.i.am contributed his influence to Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign by penning the song, “Yes We Can,” in addition to the popular post-election songs “It’s A New Day” and “America’s Song.”

New “Beats” by Dr. Dre

Hip-Hop icon and legendary rapper/producer Andre “Dr. Dre” Young has partnered with Interscope Geffen A&M Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine and Monster, a leading manufacturer of professional audio and video accessories, to create the “Beats by Dr. Dre” headphones.

A consummate producer with a penchant for details, Dr. Dre’s newest innovation is designed to maximize the listening experience for consumers by capturing the subtle nuances hidden in most musical recordings. Featuring powered isolation technology created to reduce external noise and enhance sound quality, the former Death Row Records co-founder and Aftermath Records boss conveyed his confidence that “Beats by Dr. Dre” meets his standard for the way headphones should perform.

“Artists and producers work hard in the studio perfecting their sound, but people can’t really hear it with normal headphones. Most headphones can’t handle the bass, the detail, the dynamics. Bottom line: the music doesn’t move you. With Beats, people are going to hear what the artists hear and listen to the music the way they should – the way I do.”

Years in the making, Jimmy Iovine expressed his satisfaction in the final product, explaining: “Dre and I have been developing these headphones for a while and in Monster we found a partner that could work with us to crystallize his vision and develop them to the quality level he expects.”

The stylish black high-definition headphones emblazoned with a red “b” logo enclosed in a white/metallic/silver circular design are retailing for $349.95 at Apple and Best Buy locations. To entice shoppers to sample the “Beats by Dr. Dre,” listening stations have been set-up at select stores so that consumers can hear and experience the difference in audio engineering.

“This is the most advanced headphone ever built and delivers a music experience I think people will find amazing,” emphasized Kevin Lee, VP of Product and Marketing for Monster.
