The Black Eyed Peas Close to “The E.N.D.”

The Black Eyed Peas 3After a four-year hiatus, Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling group, The Black Eyed Peas, are back with another studio album entitled “The E.N.D,” scheduled for a June 9th release date.

The first single off the album is “Boom Boom Pow,” which Interscope Records is currently servicing to radio and clubs. “We wanted to make a record that would make people dance,” reveals will.i.am.

“The E.N.D.” comes four-years after the 2005 release of the multi-platinum selling album “Monkey Business,” which included the hits “Don’t Phunk with My Heart” and “My Humps.”

In conjunction with the release of “The E.N.D.,” The Black Eyed Peas plan to kick off a world tour. Dates will be announced in the weeks and months ahead.

Although it has been four years since The Black Eyed Peas recorded their last studio album together, the period did keep some of the group members busy.

Fergie released her hugely successful solo album “The Dutchess,” selling six million records worldwide, while TBEP principal member will.i.am released his solo debut “Songs About Girls” in 2007.

Also in 2008, will.i.am contributed his influence to Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign by penning the song, “Yes We Can,” in addition to the popular post-election songs “It’s A New Day” and “America’s Song.”
